Ash Wednesday Service
Ash Wednesday service will be in the morning First United Methodist Church on February 22 from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 am
The service will be a come and go, individual service with the pastor to receive your ashes, spending as much time as you like in prayer and meditation. The pastor will be available from 6am until 9am in the Sanctuary.
Ashes will also be available forllowing the evening Bible study at 5:30 pm.

5:30 pm Every Wednesday throughout Lent.
Led by Rev. Fred Willis
Dinner will be served @ 5:00 pm. $4 per person - reservations required.

Rev. Joe Miller will be leading a study on the unique parables of Jesus in Luke. There are 13 parables that don't appear in any of the other Gospels. Jesus told all of them while he was on the way from Galilee to Jerusalem. They deal with several themes that constitute an important core of the Gospel: God’s relationship with us, our relationships with each other, social and economic justice, humility, repentance, and forgiveness. The study will include a discussion about each parable and an attempt to relate each of them to our own Lenten reflection.

FUMC's Charlie's Angels Relay For Life Team will be walking the Courthouse Sqauare on April 20 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. If you would like to join our team, we need you; if you want to make a donation, we need you, too! Just call Linda in the church office for more info.

CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER
SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 4 PM in the Sanctuary
This special presentation by "Jews for Jesus" shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God in a way you will never forget. The presenter uses Scripture as well as visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover Sender meal, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. It should be a very moving and edifying event.
